| Shandur Model School is located on Gilgit Road, near Shandur Pass. It is about 132 km from Chitral city. It is an English medium school and is registered with the NWFP government as such. It was established in April 1997 with the support of the local community. Solas has supported construction of a school building on donated land for and the community is also helping with the construction of the building. It is managed by a board of governors elected by the community. At the present time it has 145 pupils (including six girls), in classes from KG to the eighth grade. The headmaster holds degrees of MA and Bachelor of Education. | ||||||||||||||||||
